Privacy notice
Version of 23 October 2026. This notice is given under Article 13 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “GDPR”).
Who is responsible for your data
The controller is Black Lion SRLS, Via San Francesco 28, 21020 Inarzo (VA), Italy · VAT number IT03671200123 · REA VA-370421. Contact: blacklionsrl.italia@gmail.com. We have not appointed a data protection officer, because the law does not require one for an activity like ours.
What we collect
- your email address, which you type in the form;
- the date and time you gave your consent, and the version of the consent text you accepted;
- the channel you came from, if the link you followed says it (for example Pinterest or YouTube), so we know which channels bring readers.
We do not ask for your name, we do not store your IP address, and the site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. When you download the journal we only add one to a count of downloads per day and channel, with nothing about you. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare, below) processes your IP address for a short time to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks, as any web host does.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- To send you the free monthly reading plan and journal by email. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given with the checkbox in the form.
- To send you occasional emails about Daily Scripture Plan products (for example a paid monthly edition). Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given with the checkbox in the form.
- To keep a record that you gave consent, so we can prove it if asked. Legal basis: our legal obligation to be able to demonstrate consent (Article 7(1) and Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
We never give or sell your email address to anyone. We make no automated decisions about you and build no profile of you.
Giving your email is up to you. Without it we cannot send you the plan, but the journal on this site stays free to download, with or without subscribing.
Who processes the data for us
Two providers process the data on our behalf, under a data processing agreement, and only to provide their service to us:
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) hosts this site and stores the list. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and uses the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses as a fallback (Cloudflare privacy policy).
- beehiiv, Inc. (United States) sends the newsletter, once it starts: we will move the list there to send the emails. Transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (beehiiv privacy policy, beehiiv data processing agreement).
Your data therefore leaves the European Union, with the safeguards named above. You can ask us for a copy of them.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe. When you unsubscribe your email is removed from the list right away; we may keep the record of your consent and of your unsubscription for up to 12 months, only to prove them if asked. If we stop the newsletter, we delete the whole list within 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive it in a portable format (Articles 15-22 GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what we did before: use the unsubscribe page, the link in every email, or write to blacklionsrl.italia@gmail.com. We answer within one month.
If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or to the authority of the country where you live.
Age
The list is for people aged 16 or over.
Changes
If this notice changes, we publish the new version here with its date. If a change affects what you agreed to, we ask for your consent again.
